Touchpad, power button and menu

Control the XRAI AR2 from the frame: start and stop captions, open the menu, and turn the display off.

Updated 7 October 2026

Most of the time you control captions from the XRAI app. The touchpad and power button on the frame let you start and stop captions and change a few settings without taking out your phone.

The glasses menu

Swipe down on the touchpad to open the menu, swipe forward or back to choose, and tap to open.

  • Captions starts captioning.
  • Settings has the display brightness and a factory reset. A factory reset clears the pairing, so you will need to pair the glasses again.
  • Demo previews what the glasses can show.

Set the brightness in the XRAI app rather than on the glasses. The app sends its own brightness setting each time the glasses connect, so a change made on the glasses doesn't last. See Caption size, brightness and position.

“Hello. You're ready to go.”

If this message appears over the captions, the glasses' voice assistant has been started by a touch on the frame. Swipe down on the touchpad to close it. Captions carry on underneath.
