Charge the glasses and the case

How to charge the XRAI AR2 in its case, read the case lights, and get the longest battery life.

Updated 7 October 2026

The glasses run for up to 8 hours on a charge. The case holds enough to recharge them about 12 times, for up to 96 hours away from a socket.

Charge the case

  1. Connect a USB-C cable to the port on the case and plug it in.
  2. The lights on the case show how full it is while it charges.

The glasses and the case can't charge at the same time. Charge the case first, unplug it, then put the glasses in it.

Charge the glasses

  1. Put the glasses in the case so the magnetic contacts on the arm meet the contacts in the case.
  2. Close the lid. The case finds the glasses and starts charging; its lights stay on while the glasses charge and go out when they are full.

The light on the glasses flashes slowly while they charge.

If the glasses don't charge

  • Lift the glasses out and put them back so the magnets line up, then close the lid fully.
  • Check the case itself has charge. A red light means it needs plugging in.
  • Hold the power button for 10 seconds to restart the glasses, then put them back in the case.
