XRAI Studio is the app that runs a stream. Install it on the computer that takes the venue's audio, usually at the sound desk.
What you need
| Mac | Windows | |
|---|---|---|
| System | macOS 12 Monterey or later. Apple silicon is needed for engines that run on the computer itself. | Windows 10 or later |
| Installer | XRAIInc.XRAIStudio-osx-Setup.pkg, about 320 MB | XRAIInc.XRAIStudio-win-Setup.exe, about 220 MB |
| Account | The XRAI account on your venue's XRAI Stream licence | |
The installers are on the XRAI Stream page, under Downloads. Sign in to these docs with the venue's account to see them. Both always fetch the latest release, and XRAI Studio keeps itself up to date after you install it.
Before you start
Check three things at the start of each day:
- You are running XRAI Studio. Open the settings and look for a Stream tab. If there isn't one, this is the consumer XRAI app, which can join a stream but not publish one.
- You are signed in and have minutes. The rate chip at the bottom right shows the current rate, and Pro minutes in the profile menu shows what is left. If no minutes are left, a session won't start.
- Basic mode is off. Basic mode hides the languages, the stream chip and the rate chip. Turn off Enable basic mode on the General tab of the settings panel. If the app shows large buttons instead, tap your picture, then Advanced Mode, first.
Then set up the stream. See Start a stream.
