What is XRAI Stream?

XRAI Stream sends live captions and translation from a venue to visitors' own phones and glasses.

Updated 7 October 2026

XRAI Stream brings live captions and translation to everyone at a venue or event. One computer running XRAI Studio listens to the venue's sound system, captions and translates what is said, and sends it to visitors' own phones, to screens around the venue, and to glasses lent by the venue.

  • Visitors scan a code or open a link, choose their language and read along. They can also listen to a spoken translation. No app or account is needed. See the visitor guide.
  • Theatres lend glasses with a Beam Pro to audience members who want captions in their seat. See XRAI Kiosk.
  • Venues run the stream from XRAI Studio. See XRAI Studio.
